What our client was facing
The hospital’s low voltage (LV) side lacked redundancy due to an initial design error. A short circuit in the LV busbar had a critical impact, triggering upstream medium voltage protection and disrupting the transformer. This posed a major risk to continuous power supply a vital need in a healthcare facility.
How we solved the problem
Pro Serve conducted a thorough technical study and implemented a solution by re-routing cables between two independent power sources, effectively introducing redundancy without major infrastructural changes. In addition, comprehensive preventive maintenance and electrical testing were performed to enhance the reliability and safety of the system.
Pro Serve delivered exactly what they promised a major electrical upgrade without interfering with patient care. Lacking redundancy in the LV side of the network due to an initial design mistake made it difficult to maintain normal electricity flow, often requiring the use of generators. Pro Serve’s technical study found a way around this by shifting cables between two independent sources, effectively resolving the issue. Their preventive maintenance and testing made a real difference in keeping our system compliant and reliable.
